Obama Violating Pledge For No Abortion Funding in Health Care

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- During an address to Congress in September, President Barack Obama promised there would be no abortion funding in his health care plans. However, a new report today indicates Obama has been personally lobbying members of Congress to vote for the current bills, all of which fund abortions.

One day we'll overturn Roe v Wade and put this Kenyan in prison. He is an illegitimate president and everyone who enforces his new laws is a traitor.

Obama seems like he generally wants to help. If he agreed with me on abortion, I'd probably like him.

Yes, and Ted Bundy seemed like a real nice guy too. That post is a perfect example of why we are screwed. I'm reminded of the time when I took my girlfriend in high school to her first football game. A one point she excitedly exclaimed; "Oh look, they made a home run!". Ay Carumba!

We are not at war. Both sides have equally idiotic views of the economy, and both sides are wrong in some social matters. Obama's views on abortion are monstrous, and I would never vote for him because of that. However, if he was pro-life, he'd be an acceptable, intelligent president.

obama is such a blatant liar - he apparently thinks ALL citizens are so in lust over him that we've all lost our ability to think clearly.

The media is showing signs that they will not continue to cover for him:

The Truth About the Hyde Amendment Is Coming Out

Pro-abortion politicians have made numerous misleading claims about abortion in health care. Twice in recent weeks, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has insisted to reporters that the Hyde Amendment is sufficient to prevent federal funds from subsidizing abortion. As the group that defended the Hyde Amendment before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980, Americans United for Life knows well that the Hyde Amendment will not prevent abortion funding through the current health care proposals. Fortunately, the disinformation campaign in the mainstream media was shattered last week when Associated Press began reporting the truth about the Hyde Amendment:

"Currently a law called the Hyde amendment bars federal funding for abortion - except in cases of rape and incest or if the mother's life would be endangered - and applies those restrictions to Medicaid, forcing states that cover abortion for low-income women to do so with their own money. Separate laws apply the restrictions to the federal employee health plan and military and other programs.

But the Democrats' health overhaul bill would create a new stream of federal funding not covered by the restrictions."
