The government has no right to
come into our bedrooms.
Abortions are not done in bedrooms. But
even if they were, the bedroom is no more a
sanctuary from the law than is a cornfield.
The reality is, many illegal acts happen in
bedrooms. In fact, some – spousal abuse,
incest, statutory rape, and pedophilia, just to
name a few – usually happen in bedrooms.
Let’s also not forget that back when abortion
was illegal, the public was at no greater risk of
having their bedrooms invaded by the state
than they are today.
